All of a sudden...

The day is PACKED.

Spontaneous lunch/play time with 2 other moms and their Beckham-aged kids coming up in 25 minutes(will be bedlam in my already crazy house! Can't wait). This will be my first experience of a "playgroup" I believe. I know... I'm a bit behind the times...

Then, a working afternoon - squeezing in a few extra hours with Laurel today (normally try to take Fridays off) to solidify key components of the upcoming Global Prayer Gathering (register at www.ijm.org/gpg - don't miss it!)

Then, community group in South Arlington (a new thing for Anthony and I... loving it)

Then, driving to Winchester late tonight to have some time with my parents.

Whew! See you on the other side... Perhaps with photos :-)

Meet Virginia.

Regardless of how any of us voted... this moment in history is staggering.

Consider Virginia, the capital of the old Confederacy, its land once worked through and through by Africans who were held, violently, as slaves.

Jefferson Davis, a Virginian, and President of the Confederacy, once said, "The negro is only useful as a slave."

Last night Virginia reversed its 44-year voting record and served as the tipping-point state to elect the first African American President of the United States. Within minutes of Virginia's votes being tallied, Barack Obama was elected President.

Regardless of how any of us voted, this... is... beautiful... redemption.

Done and Done.

Regardless of who gets your mark at the poll, go get out the vote! I highly recommend the full-family field-trip...
